Did you know that 25 – 30% of the people attending the Toronto International Boat Show each year are new to boating and/or first time attendees? In 2015 new boaters visiting the show ( January 10-18, 2015) should make their first stop at the New Boater Welcome Centre. This is where first-timers can speak to unbiased experts who will help you navigate the largest indoor boat show in North America so you make the most of your time. There will also be free resources geared specifically for new boaters or those interested in buying a boat for the first time.
The New Boater Welcome Centre will be located in a central area of the show, and marketed as the first stop for new boaters coming to the show, it will include:
- A “Meet & Greet” daily reception
- The Discover Boating Centre
- A seminar stage with topics specific to the new boater experience
- New boater show tours
- Tours/translation offered by Charley Zhou for Chinese speaking visitors
If you find that perfect first boat make sure you stop by the Skippers’ Plan Insurance booth # 1753 (north aisle in main hall) so we can arrange the best insurance coverage for your new boat at the best possible price. I will also being giving seminars during the show for first time buyers. Look for Boating University – Boat Buying Basics in the TIBS seminar schedule
I hope to see you at The Toronto International Boat Show in the New Year.
